2009 Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition
Our 2009 Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition connected nearly 3,000 attendees to share knowledge, strategies and vision in clinical and operational best practices and revolutionary products and devices as we work toward healthcare transformation.
Through sessions and events designed to thoroughly engage participants, the meeting’s environment was one of networking, inspiration, and learning. Committee and task force meetings plus pre-sessions at the opening of the event created high energy for desired change that lasted throughout the following days. Insightful and stimulating speakers gave their views during the eight general sessions. An impressive 120 concurrent sessions in 19 different subject tracks allowed participants design a unique, relevant educational opportunity that catered to their individual needs. The trade show floor, with more than 400 exhibitors, presented folks with the most advanced healthcare products, devices and services available to members through the Premier contracts.
Additionally, the Breakthroughs Conference offered other learning opportunities, including the Premier Academy and Computer Lab, giving members a deep-dive into Premier products and services, and the Premier Village, set within the exhibit hall where folks could engage with subject matter experts and connect the dots on Premier’s many products and services. The Connection Café debuted and served as a central location to get a cup of coffee and keep connected through e-mail, blogs, and Twitter. Here, attendees could learn how to set up an account and use Twitter to follow the conference stream of tweets, or updates, among other tasks.
Premier’s awards ceremony recognized the more than 100 members and suppliers that are making a difference in transforming healthcare. Through the knowledge sharing at this event, Premier believes that every organization will be able to achieve similar successful outcomes to improve the health of communities and transform of the industry.
